# Custom fields

In Nexudus, the information that you can record on member and contact profiles is quite extensive. However, there are times when this information is not enough to cover specific details that you want to have in your database. For example, there is no standard field for eye colour, assuming that you wanted to record this. You can add up to ten custom fields, which can be displayed on the space sign-up form, on the directory or on the member or contact's profile. You can also use the **Yes/No** and **Options menu** custom fields to allow the users of your spaces website to filter the member directory (see the **Directory** option in the table below).

### To add a custom field

1. If the side menu is not visible, click <img src="/files/-Li8D5GrhOIcbhMDzQw8" alt="" data-size="line"> .
2. In the side menu, click [**CRM**](https://platform.nexudus.com/crm), then click [**Custom Fields**](https://platform.nexudus.com/crm/customfields).
3. Click **Add custom field**.
4. Complete the required fields (see the table below for a description of each custom field option).
5. Click **Save**.

### To edit a custom field

1. If the side menu is not visible, click <img src="/files/-Li8D5GrhOIcbhMDzQw8" alt="" data-size="line"> .
2. In the side menu, click [**CRM**](https://platform.nexudus.com/crm), then click [**Custom Fields**](https://platform.nexudus.com/crm/customfields).
3. In the list of custom fields, click the name of the one to edit.
4. Make the necessary changes (see the table above).
5. Click **Save changes**.

### To delete a custom field

2. In the side menu, click [**CRM**](https://platform.nexudus.com/crm), then click [**Custom Fields**](https://platform.nexudus.com/crm/customfields).
3. At the end of the custom field you want to delete, click<img src="/files/-LZoDZ2DSzmI8XzHUHtt" alt="" data-size="line">. A pop-out menu is displayed.
4. Click **Delete**.
