Editing your website templates

Your Nexudus website is a white-label solution, so you can fully customise what it looks like.

We provide a template editor, where you can view and edit the various files that determine the appearance and layout of your space website and upload new templates.

You can edit the raw HTML, CSS and JavaScript template files of every page in your site, but please use it carefully. We recommend contacting Nexudus support when you want to customise the default website source files.

To access the template editor

  1. In the side menu, click Settings.

  2. In the Features section, click Website.

  3. From the list of tabs, click Templates.

  4. Click Open template files.

  5. If you manage more than one space, select the appropriate space from the first drop-down list.

  6. If you created template versions for your space, select the appropriate template version from the second drop-down list:

Folder

Description

Common files

This folder stores the default files for all website sections. Although you can edit the default files, we recommend that only qualified personnel customise the default website source files. You cannot add any files to this folder, nor can you delete any of the files. Read more about working with common files here.

Custom pages

You can create custom pages in the template editor, which include static content on the website. When these pages are posted, they appear in your website's navigation bar. When you upload a new custom page, you can choose the language that it appears in on the space website. Learn about adding a custom page here.

Custom files

You can add, edit and delete the files in this folder. These files are divided into the following types:

  • Audio files. This folder stores new audio files which you can link to from the template editor.

  • Image files. This folder stores all image files on the website, which can be used in blog posts, events, and so on.

  • Image gallery. This folder stores images that are displayed in the slideshow on the site's home page.

  • Video files. This folder stores new video files which you can link to from the template editor.

  • Other files. If you want to use any auxiliary files, such as .js or .css files, add them to this folder and link to them in the appropriate template file.
